Here's a tale of one who lost, One who Lost to Win.
Her name was Alice plain and true, Alice it's always been.
Her life was always hard to live, Nothing was ever right.
This is the tale of she who lived, despite the endless fight.

Just Four of us were there that night, for Alice who self-harms.
We were there to take the pain, To Write Love On Her Arms.

V2:

It started on a night like this, Cold and full of stars.
She told herself in simple words, "our lives were never ours"
He'd left her there alone and hurt, to serve his selfish greed,
She raised a blade and sliced the skin, and then began to bleed.

V3:

Her phone it rang unanswered, I knew something was wrong.
A worried friend, I called them all, asked them to come along.
We all arrived and saw her car, All proof that she was there.
Unanswered calls and worried shouts send us racing up the stairs

We found her curled up, drenched in blood, unconcious from the pain
We bound her wounds in quick responce, carried her into the rain.
Casey woke her up to say, we'd help her through it all.
Not to panic, not to worry, we'd reached the hospital.

We sat in shifts, two at a time, to give her all our love.
To let her know she's not alone, so she could rise above.
Slowly she gained her conciousness, and tears welled in her eyes
At Casey, Joey, Van, and I, all standing by her side.

A soft and cracking voice produced, a question, "where am I?"
I looked her in the eyes and asked, "why do you want to die?"
Tears fell from her pale blue eyes, "I felt alone," she said.
"But you've shown me now I NEVER am, by standing by this bed"

Since that day we've never heard, of Alice slicing skin.
She knows we love her plain and true, and won't do it again.
All it took was standing there, to show her how we felt.
